Quilting Services
What you should know.
Rates
I charge 2 cents per square inch for most designs. Designs that are more are clearly indicated in the title section of the design.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .02 = $96.
Thread - There is a $1.00 per bobbin fee. The amount of bobbins used is dependent on the size of the quilt top, design and density chosen.
Batting - I offer batting for purchase or you are welcome to send your own with your quilt top. Batting is not included in the square inch pricing, it is additional.
Currently I am offering 100% cotton, 80/20 cotton/poly blend and wool.
Shipping
To me: I live in New Jersey, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail or by local drop-off. If mailing, I recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of plastic or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance. It's a great idea to insure your quilts against loss or damage while with the United States Postal Service, but it is not required.

Backing (and batting if applicable)
I require the backing to measure 4" extra on all sides. For example, if you have a quilt top that is 60" x 80", your backing should measure at least 68" x 88". It can be bigger, not smaller. Extra fees may apply if I need to put extra time and effort into getting your quilt ready to load. If you have questions, please ask!
Please press your top and backing for me before sending so that it's nice and tidy and ready for me to load.
Please also clip stray threads or raveling fabrics as best you can. You might not be able to get them all, but to prevent dark threads shadowing through your quilt top, don't skip this important step!
Square your quilt top and backing. There will be a small additional fee if I need to square your backing prior to loading.
Designs
I have many designs to choose from and I am continually adding to my portfolio. You can find the designs I offer here. If by some chance you do not see a design you love, we can help you find one! If you choose a pattern that is new to my portfolio, I’m always happy to split the cost of the design with you.
